COACH LISA, HEAD COACH
Ever since Lisa started playing tennis at the age of 8, she dreamt of running her own tennis schools and following in the footsteps of her coach idol, Victor A Edwards (who discovered Yvonne Goolagong-Cawley, Grand Slam champion in the '70s).
A state level player in her youth, Lisa combines her love of the game, along with international, ATPCA and Tennis Australia professional coach accreditation, 21 years of parenting (3 children) and Primary Teaching experience to develop the coaching team and students of Tennis2day.
Living in the Northern Beaches for most of her life, Lisa is very much aufait with tennis training and competitions on the Northern Beaches for the past 40 years, having played competitions, tournaments and interdistrict in her youth and currently a Grade 1 Ladies Doubles player.
Lisa is involved with the Tennis NSW state junior squads and teams at Olympic Park, Homebush and loves attending all professional tournaments from the Manly Seaside, through to Sydney based international tournaments and the Grand Slam Australian Open.
“Coach Cam played tennis as a junior in the strong divisions of the Saturday morning Tennis Northern Beaches competition.
Coach Cam is studying to become a secondary PDHPE and RE teacher, which equips him to become a good sports coach. This includes learning development, modifying learning experiences to cater for students with different needs and discipline management.
Coach Cam's coaching strengths include creating fun and competitive tennis lessons, using a variety of activities to enhance engagement, and teaching tennis skills and tactics in ways that suit the age and experience level of students. He enjoys coaching at Tennis2day and learning more about effective coaching from head coach, Lisa.
